Simply put, we want you to be happy.
During our pre-wedding consultation, we'll walk you through the day and ask you some questions to help us determine how to take the best photographs possible. Since we've worked at dozens of popular wedding sites, there's a good chance we'll already know your venue personally.
We'll also show you some samples and ask you about your expectations for your wedding day.
Remember, there is no limit to the number of locations at which you can shoot, and because our equipment is digital, there is no limit to the number of photographs that we will take. For larger weddings, a thousand exposures is not unheard of! And when we're done, we'll put them up on the internet so your friends and family can enjoy them too.
Ok, so now you know that we are here to make your day a little easier, and that we will tailor our shooting style to your individual needs. But some couples still like to know what we think the best options are. Left to our own devices, we like to take a mixed approach to your day, combining a few shorter posed segments with hours of candid photojournalistic coverage. Here's how we do it:
We break things up into three shorter shoots. First, we'll be with you before the ceremony starts, meeting you, your bridal party, and even your loopy Uncle Charles so that when he starts break dancing, we know he isn't just a strange old guy who crashed your party. (We want to watch his spins, too!) We'll lend a hand with any last minute logistics, laugh a little with your bridal party, and while we're there, we'll take a few pictures.
Most couples like us to spend about half an hour taking formal portraits of their families and the bridal party immediately after the ceremony. That's our second posed segment, and we'll stay with you as long (or as short) as you'd like before we head over to the reception.
Finally, after you've had a chance to take a deep breath, dance a little, and have a drink, we'll sneak off with you for a short ten-minute shoot, where we'll take a few less formal pictures.
