Arcadia Wedding Studios is made up of a small team of photographers, video artists, and graphic designers. We accept no more than fifteen weddings a year, and apply careful artistry to them, crafting sound and light to create memories that will bring a smile to your face for years to come. And while we're at it, we try to have a little fun.
Some photographers and video artists call themselves 'photojournalists', which means just that; In the tradition of newspaper journalism, they keep to the background while taking candid photographs, so as to best capture what really happened on your day. Some of these shots turn out to be very beautiful, however with this approach you rarely get the types of clean gorgeous images that you see on magazine covers, or perfect tabletop albums.
On the other extreme are portrait artists. They take magnificent pictures and their video is superb, but often their images are staged, requiring excessive time and direction that may actually begin to feel like an interruption to the greatest day of your life.
At Arcadia, our tailored approach reflects your unique wedding expectations and preferences. Whether you are interested in photography, video, or both, we'll work with you during a pre-wedding consultation to develop a mixture of portraiture and photojournalism that will excite you. That way, we can be sure you'll be as thrilled with your lifelong images as the brides and grooms with whom we have worked in the past.
One more thing. We believe that capturing a wedding should be fun. When brides laugh, they relax, and their smiles heighten their beauty. That makes our jobs more enjoyable too, and art practically happens on its own, with just a little help from our experience, skill, and top-notch equipment.
